Hello and welcome to our first blog entry! Well, our little website has now been live for 6 months and as you can see we have had a visit from more than 3k of you lovely people with 200+ re-visiting the site. We are not the most technical over here at M-Tones HQ so we are not sure if these are good or bad figures but we think the site serves its purpose well and thank you all for dropping by. In the time the site has been live we have had the pleasure of continuing our residencies at The Caledonia and the Junction and had the chance to perform with the wonderful Robin Nolan and Romain Vuillemin. You should not underestimate the importance of these two players on the Gypsy Jazz scene and next time they come over make sure you get along and support them as its a real coup to see them in our own city. We also had some great shows with two great violinists Matt Holborn and Chris Hayward up at The Junction and recommend you catch them both as well if you get the chance. We had some studio time over at Salford Uni recently and it went great however, our friend Rob Knowles who did the session has been unwell and we are waiting until he is back to his normal self before we let you hear the great results, get well soon Rob. We have also been rehearsing some new material with vocalist Christina McKenna and will hopefully be releasing a showreel for you in the next few weeks so watch this space!
